You have to in fact literally "cut" out the secondary catalytic converters with a plasma cutter, or the like...Then you replace the missing section with straight pipe, weld it in and voila. All done.
It probably technically voids the warranty, but most dealers probably wouldn't even notice it as it was not usual for four catalytic converters to come on cars back then. If a non-dealer doing warranty work asks just say it got rusted out and you replaced the pipe section, or just use plausible deniability.
