I started to put the 74 mm TB on today, but I could not get the oil breather hose off, it's so cold in the garage the rubber was solidly on there. I'm going to have to start the car and warm it up or put a heat gun on it to soften the rubber.
I'm going to try the HID's some time, but I may swap them out and try Osram Rallye bulbs instead or just put the Rallye bulbs in the highs. They are 65 watt and plus plus rating. That's plus more light and plus extra life over standard 55 watt bulbs. They are $20 to $25 each, not legal but neither are the HID's.

From Daniel Stern.
"Standard H7:
55w, 1500 lumens, 500 hours

H7 ultra "Plus+50" (any brand):
55w, 1580 lumens, 225 hours

H7 Xtreme "Plus+80" (Philips) or "Plus+90" (Osram):
55w, 1620 lumens, 200 hours

H7 rallye+65 (Osram only):
65w, 2100 lumens, 500 hours, obvious choice.

The extra 10w is of no consequence as far as electrical power or heat --
those 80w to 100w bulbs are a different story, and they produce less light
and have a shorter lifespan than the Osram 65w item. "

Osram Night Breakers (65 watt) give a whiter light, but do not last as long.
