Changing to the US switch was my suggestion in post #2 (50 posts ago) on this thread.
But if a relay is in the Canadian switch, then by removing the wire that energizes it when the car goes into drive then the headlights on function would be eliminated. Other lights may still be on but the fogs could be added using a separate relay.
