I think we will continue to see high spikes in gas prices until US prices "normalize" with the rest of the world, regardless of the amount we consume, to a price of $5/gallon. It may take another couple of years, but that is where we are heading.

Just like now, it will jump way up, but never go back down to where it was previously..........
