how long should the transmition make shift dip stick be (and how long should the measurements be on the makeshit dipstick so i make sure i have a correct reading if its to low or to full?

You mentioned the drain bolt is 5 mm, im very nervose i might strip this since its on so secure, and do i need to put the car in N to get to the drain bolt or will it be visable once im under the vehical?
