I do not know how long the dipstick is, how tall are you?
Down load the Crossfire Service Manual and read it, it is a good source of information. You are getting answers but you are misinterpreting what is said and that could be very damaging to your car.
The auto repair skills of the members on this forum vary a lot, there are those that cannot do their own service, to those that can strip the car, throw all the parts into one box and then reassemble it with no problem.
Before you pick up a wrench you have to decide what your own level of proficiency is on the repair at hand. You obviously are keen to tackle the job so read and understand the requirements before you start. Remember that it is a steep learning curve for some, so take your time and understand each step.
