I don't necessarily disagree with you on the steering wheel, it is a bunch of cedar, however, it all matches up. From the door to the dash it's a solid block of cedar. It was very well planned out and that strip of cedar goes from the door to the dash and the steering wheel happens to be in that strip. In this particular case, the contrast steering wheel may have actually made the cabin look too busy.
