OK, page 106/107 in the owners manual says the 'ding' should be there when manually raising or lowering the spoiler. Once deployment speed is reached though, it automatically deploys open no matter what. Guess I'll have to take her in to have it looked at, don't need a problem like this run past the 3/36 warranty...
