No matter how good your repair looked, as soon as the dealer finds out your car has been crunched, down goes the wholesale value, and along with it your trade in value. The trade-in the dealer gave you was more like what the car would probably sell for retail off a Chrysler used car lot. You did good, but then you already knew that.
