Forgive me as I'm sure this question has been answered somewhere (I have searched the boards for quite a while now but can't seem to find the information I'm hunting for). Any help you could give me (or direct me to the appropriate thread) would be greatly appreciated. My question is: I'm pretty sure my IC pump is going or gone (based on symptoms others have described). How essential is it to replace this part? Can I still drive the car without damaging it? (I do intend to replace it eventually, but just don't have the cash this month). I don't drive the car hard if that matters. Second, could someone please explain to me what exactly an IC pump is and what it does (please explain as if you were talking to a child.. I'm not very car savvy, but I am really trying to learn!!)
