Even after replacing all the components I haven't had much luck resolving the issue and my alarm was still going off randomly everyday at work at least once or twice a day. (I have resisted taking it to the dealership for a variety of reasons)
I've noticed something though....during the summer months it went off almost everyday without fail! Now the weather is cooler, I have not had one false alarm!!! WTH???
Situation details:
- The car is parked is an open air car park exposed to all the elements during the day.
- The car has never had a false alarm whilst it has been parked in my garage.
My question-
Should the weather effect the alarm function???
Any other suggestions are welcome.
Thanks,
Michael
Search will help you on this one, mine seemed to only go off when its damp out or the humidity is really high to fix mine i re-soldered the alarm module or what ever the h311 it is located in the trunk under the foam and this seemed to work! As for right now tho just pull the fuse to keep it from going off the only down side is you will lose interior dome lights and your key wont lock the passenger door you have to manually lock it and the hatch doesn't lock but no one other than an xf owner knows where the handle is for it anyway,,,
