Barb and I are still kicking around...it's been a rough couple of years and we are apologetic that we have not made any "Dragon" runs this year. For those who remember us Barb was diagnosed with terminal cancer in '08. She has had a long and hard fight which turned much worse this past summer with the discovery that the veins which drain blood from the brain are clotted. Blood backed up and caused a minor stroke and she had a major seizure.
The doctors are giving her 3 to six months to live.
She is continuing chemo at a greatly reduced rate because that is causing even more complications.
She has pretty much been in hospital every other week since the stroke in Sept.
Terry hasn't been online here since November last year for obvious reasons.

Well here goes,
Barb was taking too much of her drugs at home so they admitted her to the Hospice Care Center. She is now being treated for pain with 20Mgs of Methadone every 3 hours and Roxinol (a liquid form of morphine) once every hour in between the Methadone. They will be adjusting those doses over the next week until they hit the right combination to give her maximum relief. They have also taken her off of her sustaining treatments of Lovenox which is a blood thinner that was allowing blood to pass around the blood clot in her brain and she was also getting a liter of IV fluid every other day to keep her electrolytes in balance, she has been removed from that therapy too. This ultimately will send her toward her end faster so again she is very emotional this week. Hate to be the bearer of this kind of news but she is talking and thinking more about the end.
