Default High beams out, have a few questions...

Okay so my Father owns an '05 Crossfire Coupe and I am not too familiar with Chrysler's as I drive a VW. Anyways, his high beams do not work. From what I have read he needs to replace the turn signal switch and the headlight switch and things will be working again. However, it is a pricey and tedious job and dealerships and Indy's are quoting him at a pretty high price.

So my first question: Are there many part outs on this forum where I can pick up a turn signal switch as well as a headlight switch?? Being that the parts are used there is no guarantee that that they will work, but it is a cheaper solution and is worth a shot. OR does anyone know where to get either at a decent price so we can DIY?

Second question: would driving lights help with night lighting in lieu of high beams? There are cut outs on the bottom of the bumper for them and the owners manual states that if the car came with fog/driving lights, they are controlled by pulling OUT the switch on the dash when the regular beams are turned on. So, as far as installing driving lights, my question(s) are.. The wiring is not already there, is that correct? Will they throw off enough light to take the place of the high beams? If they can be installed, will they work if, in fact, the high beams do not work because the lighting module is bad?

Thanks for the help, let me know if any further information is need.
