ill be pulling the diff out this evening craig. when i was under the car my 03 has the same axles as the xfire. no bolt in half shaft. mine is a 02 built in feb 03. vin f292294. from the outside it looks the same but wont know the clip width until i remove the axles.
ok the diff is out!! what a pain! craig the axles need a block of wood against the diff to use to pry them out. takes some force. bad thing is the drivers side has the exhaust in the way. really hard to get any leverage to pry the axle out. tiny snap rings on the axle.
now i had 2 washers with grooves cut on the edges fall out while i was wrestling the diff. any idea were they go?
alan remember you having to drill a hole in the tire well to get the mount bolt out? the 03 stole your idea!! already has a hole
