I think if you went with a "burnt" copper it would look very nice. I also hate gold packages on cars - it is so 90's (every other Honda on the lot had it done). I think some of the darker, deeper metallics that you see these days in fashion would look amazing. This may sound a little out of the box, but have you considered checking out some of the popular nail polish colors right now. You can buy them on the cheap & paint a little piece of scrap. Might give you an idea what color you would like on the car. Kind of like paint chips on your wall.
