Softball, you 'should' be fine with that as it says it meets 236.10 spec on it. FWIW, I have never seen that Valvoline before.

James, despite that letter, even the bottle says synthetic blend on it (at least a year ago when I changed my fluid).

IBLUBYU, that is still overpriced...

I couldn't find the Shell 3403, so I went with the newer Shell 3343 236.12 spec ($9/qt). It is compatible w/ the 5-sp, but like Rudy said, not specifically designed for our trans.

Bottom line, transmission fluids should not be treated like motor oil. You can't just put whatever you want in, if you want your tranne to operate correctly and last. Be sure you use a suitable, spec-approved fluid.
