No kidding here, when I was pulling out between the Service driveway and the entrance way to go home with my new ride, when I hit the 9mph mark, the Vert. button started rapidly flashing and the chime went off for several minutes until it timed out. The dealership took it over to a Chrysler dealership, and after 5 hours later, no one could figure it out. Please keep in mind, this is/was a smaller town so my guess is that they have not seen too many xf's. Now I am back in the big city life, may I ask you buffs any updated advice that maybe I can resolve before I venture into the dealership next week? I was hoping that the back trunk lip was in the incorrect position, but it appears to be fine. Any HELP would be REALLY appreciated. I read other Threads, but everything with my car seems to be in order excluding any modules, electronics, etc.

Also, this is minor, but the only interior flaw that I can find inside my car is on the stereo *****. The feel rubberish, and the silver finish has worn off to an ugly dull gray rubber finsih, do you all think that I can get replacement *****? I really think that as nice as the car is, that I should just upgrade to some sort of silvertone marine replacement unit. Any suggestions there would be absolutely valued as well. I would like to eventually get a ipod hookup, or even some kind of camera hookup, then again there is the question of best 'buy for the buck' upgraded speakers.

I guess this above has more than one question asked, huh?

Thanks again members of this forum! Again, any comments on how I can upgrade a few items and/or repair the dreaded convert top problem will/would be appreciated!!!

Tim,
Congratulations on your New Purchase, you will definitely not regret it, You are now a member of the Permagrin club. I have had a Crossfire for about 2 1/2 years now, and have just purchased my second. I have found this has many Electronic Warnings, which I still don't fully understand, but I found that the Chimes I had were for Door/Trunk lid not being shut properly, particularly the trunk lid, which I find, almost has to be slammed shut.
You will find the culprit in time, probably just something minor, and when you do eventually find the culprit, you will kick youself for not thinking of it before. Being in Texas, may I ask you to keep your eye out on this Forum for the September "Texas Motor Speedway Crossfire Laps for Charity" in Dallas, we would love for you to join us and Talk Crossfires. Bring the Wife/Girlfreind but not both, as it is only a 2 seater, LOL
Have fun with your new ride, and take care while driving. WELCOME to our Forum. TERRYR
