I found it a lot easier to place the belt over the alternator and power steering pulley first then looping it around the remaining. Make sure that cap is tight for next time, BUT not TOO tight otherwise it will cause the Oring on the oil filter to move out of place leaving you with another similar situation.

Good luck with everything! Glad to have mine up and running again. Wish I could fix another problem but thats for another day!

If you think over tightening the cap on the filter body assembly will misplace the O-ring, then you have the O-ring in the wrong place.
