...I think if you owned a Camry, debadging would be amusing. Take off the Toyota badges, and it becomes the ultimate generic car. Nobody knows what it is, because it looks like everything else. And, still less people care. Is there a debadged Camry in the world? Probably. Has anyone ever noticed it? Probably not.
To me, a car like the Crossfire doesn't make sense to debadge. First of all, it's got plenty of ridges, spats, and silver trim all over it. Its surface will never be as smooth and unremarkable as an egg. Also, it's impossible to disguise what it is. It doesn't look like anything else!
IMO, old hot rods look great debadged, detrimmed, and dechromed. Any early fifties Ford truck that has been shaved, dropped, and painted a single color has street presence.
