I took my car in for the radio swap today and since i work at the dealership i sat in the car while the swap was made and lo and behold i too saw the words protected in the display window of the new radio so while the tech reread the TSB on the dealer conect internet web site i looked over his shoulder and saw the ph number for united radio out of NY so i called them behind the tech's back and to make a long story short they said the radio had been locked out by the factory and that if we sent it back then they would resend another radio to us.Its a good thing i work at the dealership! can you imagine if i were Joe average and i took a day off from work to have this job done only to find out that the wrong radio was sent. thats what i call some major league incompetant busha on the part of united radio of NY anyway i leave for fla, tommorro on vacation so when i come back in a week i'll post what ever happen's on round two of HOW THE RADIO GETS SWAPED!
