Your cap may have a crack in it, but it could be the "O" ring too. I have heard that sometimes they will run for up to 1000 miles and then start leaking, so always check it. Most of the time they never leak, but something is not right. Make sure the filter is seated correctly ( see the two lines, one will disappear under the edge of the cap).
