Geez no ... don't try to muscle the steering wheel. Normally all that is needed is to just rock it back and forth a couple of times while putting light pressure on the key. Before fixing my sticky key, I sometimes removed the key, and made sure to re-insert it all the way into the lock, before attempting to turn it might help. Also try shooting some lube into the lock and on the key. Don't try to force anything...
