GET CODES READ, And..... the RCM is a known problem and such an easy fix that you should just do it. If it fixes the issue great and if it doesn't then you at least won't have to worry about that issue raising it's ugly head in the future. And I'm kinda agreeing w/ others about fuel supply. I'm thinking that your mechanic who couldn't even read your codes may not have properly tested fuel pressure. Fuel pump/Fuel filter regulator/ is there gas in the tank? HA just joking around.
