Thanks for the kind words.

Though not posting like a crack ho with free wi-fi hiding behind a dumpster, I think I've been a member here longer than just about anyone posting in this thread.

That said, I'm somewhat disappointed that forum ownership/moderators would close a section of the forum each time there is caterwauling. To my knowledge no one has been physically harmed in the political forum. And, everyone is responsible for their comments. If someone were that threatened, why not file a police report? The police supposedly take cyber-bullying seriously.

Otherwise, those complaining about the political forum are pretty much a bunch a whiners. Personally, I've avoided much of the political cheerleading and concentrated more on economics and exactly why both sides are equally causing destruction. I would have to ask the question as to whether bigotry is in fact the motivation of the complainers. Statistically, at least 60% of Crossfire owners would choose the Republican party based on sports car ownership data, so it's no surprise the forum leaned right. But to end it on that basis?

Actually, I have a better idea:

Close the entire forum with the exception of those that are not objectionable to anyone. Lock the Coupe, SRT, and Convertible topics because there is virtually no posts that haven't been discussed already. Simply lock those topics and most of the others, and allow search function only. Leave only the "Meets" topic open as way for those that wish to socialize in person to do so. That would make the mods jobs so much easier and not jeopardize the interaction of the remaining "community".
