Fubu, I think if you get everything tweaked, it will be a fantastic mod, especially for the convertibles.

I would think it best to paint in actual body color as to match the finish as well as possible. The only thing to consider, depending on how the seat is adjusted there is much more a potential for paint damage against the rear bulkhead cover, I know most people have their seats almost touching this now, so not much room....
