I just picked up a used 05 roadster and the clutch is slipping. The repair shop in Scottsdale telling me the following:
- The xfire has a dual mass flywheel which can't be turned so must be replaced.
- They can't find any cross reference between Chrysler part numbers and Mercedes so have to go with the more expense Chrysler parts.
As a result they are quoting me $3,600 to replace the clutch.
- Can someone verify that it is or isn't a dual mass flywheel.
- Can someone help me find Chrysler to Mercedes part number cross references for the clutch, throwout, etc.
I need to deal with this quickly before the clutch goes out completely so really appreciate any help.
