Athough I am not familar with the TP filters, I have heard of them when JCWhitney had them in their catalogs that came to the house once a month.

I have dealt with bypass filters all my career as every unit I worked on had one. And the amount of carbon (diesel powered) that they remove from the oil is unbelievable. The centrifuge bypass system worked best because you had to clean out the canister and see how much crap it removed from the oil. If it wasn't dirty or filled, it wasn't working.
