Well since no one else has chimed in.. I've read tons of times how "voltage sensitive" the cars are. Makes me wonder if around 3 grand rpm the alternator starts kicking enough juice to compensate a "marginal" battery. Does it spin like a top when cranking on it? Headlights fairly bright when idleing or kinda dim till reved up to the 3 grand mark? Just a thought..
