I replaced both at 45K just for peace of mind, and put the old ones in the trunk emergency kit along with sufficient tools to replace them on the road.
Since I have a roadster, I also include a thin 10mm open end wrench and a 5mm hex wrench in case of top problems, along with a tubeless tire repair kit.
