precluding failure
Have been enjoying my Crossy for about 6 months now, base '05 with ~45k miles. Reading about the crankshaft and camshaft position sensors as potential vulnerabilities, I think that the crank sensor is the one that is more of a problem (?). Anyway, was wondering if the sensors have been improved and if just replacing them with the latest might be a prudent step instead of waiting for a roadside event?
... oh, and I do usually get an ignition stumble once getting going after the first start up of the day.

I replaced both at 45K just for peace of mind, and put the old ones in the trunk emergency kit along with sufficient tools to replace them on the road.
Since I have a roadster, I also include a thin 10mm open end wrench and a 5mm hex wrench in case of top problems, along with a tubeless tire repair kit.
