I agree, but I have not driven the paddle shifter on an SRT yet.
I think first gear is quite small, but it still gets you to 30 in a hurry, and I like that. Most of the SRT guys want OUR gearing for 1/4 mile stuff, so with a turbo, SC, or V8 the manual should be an absolute blast, although as John mentioned, we are unaware of its limits.
I intend to test them and if another trans is necessary so be it...
