Well, I agree with Doc if you start your car in the winter and just let it run a bit, but if you disconnect the battery and let it sit until its time to bring it out in the spring you should be OK.
I suspend the insurance on my car once I put it in storage, so calling to re-activate it every I've you want to take it out in the winter is not worth the effort for me.
I do the same, FP, mine is hooked to a battery tender, insurance on vacation, and, once a month or so I start her up for a short time, to circulate the oil.
