Default Help! 17" Rims with Blizzaks; yes or no?

My SUV died! I live in Omaha, Nebraska and it is going to snow again; it's just a matter of time. I hate to use my Crossfire this winter, but I have no choice. I read every thread on this site I could find, and scoured the internet for information. I can buy four Blizzaks with 17" Rims, 225/45/R17 91H (Mercedes); and she includes a locking bolt set. They are run flats with a 5-112 bolt pattern for a Mercedes (they were on her 2006 CLK 350). I checked them out today and the tires are worth what she's asking. Now, will 17's damage my vehicle in any way? Do I need special bolts? Will it interfere with my ABS so much that it's not worth it? Is "clearance" an issue with smaller rims? Streets are plowed 90% of the time, but my car couldn't go the length of 6 houses right after it was plowed a few weeks ago so I have to do something, and soon. I welcome your opinions and advice! Thanks!
