Can I not just use the key to unlock the door to save the pump being used?.
How much am I looking at to fix this issue & I've been looking for the central locking pump part but couldn't find anything on the net?.
Slightly regretting getting my xf now been more trouble than it's worth.
These units are in the well in the trunk and there are occasions when they get water in the well and damage them.
You should be able to see any water by looking between the rear of the foam cover and the steel wall. It is probably on the right hand side of the car like ours are. Check with the fob when you are in there.
If there is water, get it out and find the source of the leak.

They affect the lighting and security if they are faulty, they are not cheap either.

The length of time may be due to a leak in the hoses somewhere making it longer to get up to pressure, normally leaks mean they do not work but a small leak may just mean it takes longer to operate.
