Default Re: Fredericksburg VA Area?

Last time I posted in this thread I was still in college driving my SSB around Fredericksburg. I had intended to make it out to one of the warm weather "shows" at the BBQ on Route 1 but never made it. I moved to a Mercedes C55 AMG but subsequently it was totaled . Now back in the Crossfire world with an SRT6 (I couldn't stay away). Living up in NoVA there is no Crossfire community (that I am aware of) unfortunately. Kicking myself for not getting out to more GTGs while I was living in Fred.

To answer your question about auto shops, Airscape, I was impressed with the operation at Express Auto Service on Route 1 (located at 2201 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Fredericksburg, VA 22401). I never have taken my car there for work, but had my cars inspected there and was impressed with the knowledge of the employees. It is a locally owned Mom and Pop shop as far as I am aware that has a franchise through NAPA and is AAA approved. They are pretty scrutinizing on the safety inspection (failed my girlfriends car for the rear rotors on her Volvo being below safe levels), but I think they do good work based on 4.5 stars on Google reviews out of 25 ratings.

With regards to your alignment, before I sold my Limited I looked into having a re-alignment done as I was getting uneven wear on the inside of my rear tires (which is a common problem with these cars). You may want to call around a number of shops first because many of them will tell you they don't have the tools to do the alignment. Perhaps look into a independent Mercedes mechanic or call up the Mercedes dealership service center there in town and tell them you have an R170 SLK , see if they will do the work.
