When I did the test mount up on Sunday I was sooo tempted to run down the highway to pick up my son from his moms (without any tape), but thought don't rush into this. I don't know where you are setting yours "exactly" but the small ridge where the tape lays in is "hooking" over the point on my nose. With the bracket underneath and tape holding the top edge I am very confident in it's stability. Right now I'm toying with the idea of a 1/8" wide at the back and saw blade width (1/16) "v" notch in the middle on the turned back flange on the bottom to let it lay in to eleminate that small gap that occurs in my pictures instead of using the tape to "pull" it in. The bracket on bottom would anchor both sides where notched.
Like I've stated.. this is not "made" for our cars but with very little modding it's going to work.
