I pulled the top safety cover out, jumpered the micro switch and installed a kicker 12" sub in a wedge shaped cabinet in the trunk. It is located were the top is stored in the open position. There is just enough clearance that they do not interfere with each other. The only drawback is you have to be very carefully with what is in the trunk during opening and closing it.
