the trim piece on the steering column actually slides toward you to reveal the pin. it is spring loaded if I remember and you just need to hook it and pull back towards the steering wheel. Hope that helps. Ron
I finally realized the trim piece is on a spring and can be pushed back but I don't understand how I could fit a 1/4" drill bit in there. So it's like i have been drilling aimlessly.
