Re: Are our cars fairly resistant to door dings?
Good news -
On Sunday afternoon, I checked up on the Crossfire. I entered the garage and pulled the car cover off of it, and discovered it as glossy and ding-free as the day I drove it in. After inspecting the car a little, I pulled the battery and took it in the house so that it will remain warm all winter long. I felt relieved that the car was as intact as it was the day I put it away, and am satisfied that the Grand Am owner parking next to it is absolutely careful around it. However, I felt somewhat deflated when I went out that same afternoon to run errands in my Escort in the slush. It's going to be a long, hard winter.
