Shifting into second is always a little touchy in my car as it is just not too smooth until you get use to the 6 speed. It is why my wife never drives the car even though it was originally bought for her. She feels it is too jerky but after driving it all these years I can smoothly shift into 2nd around 2500 to 3000 rpms. Then again even I skip straight to third when just putting around town.
