Reading those posts would make you want to sell the car at once. LOL
I had a manual and it was fine, a bit notchy 1 to 2 and reverse but you get used to it and it becomes no problem. They do appear to get better with use so that's good. The clutch is fine and not a long throw as some stated, there is no need to go to floor on it and it is quite capable of delicate use, not in or out like some.
I had the car from new, an '04 and it had no problem jumping out of gear and that was solved with an adjustment when it happened anyway, see the TSB on it.
