I do not miss the 1-2 shift at all.

1st gear was just enough to get you out of a parking spot. 2nd gear was too steep to launch in.

So, that meant you normally got murdered on the launch.

Once in 2nd, it was my favorite transmission ever. Shifted like butter -- firm butter -- all the way to 160.
