Once in 2nd, it was my favorite transmission ever. Shifted like butter -- firm butter -- all the way to 160.
1st was OK to plod along in stop and go traffic with the clutch out I found and that was about it. Six gears was really too many, five would have been fine. With a higher first gear, somewhere between the 1st and 2nd, and the next three stretched out between the top gear, it would have been better.
Third gear was the best gear to get moving in once you got going, lots of fun.
