I mentioned replacing my brights with the same kits about three months ago. I have finally had a chance to use them some, and am very pleased. There is no issue with "instant on." Since you don't lose dim when the brights are turned on, any delay is masked. I don't know what effect a constant on-off-on cycle would have on life of the lamps, but I don't use them that way.

The improvement was not as drastic as with the dims; I guess the first set made the difference between dark and light, these took me from light to more light.
