I had the same situation. I could not drive safely at night, but the brights were great. I added the HID light kits as suggested, and it made a huge difference. Enough that I also changed the brights.

You can spend a few hundred dollars on the conversion kits, but mine and several others here were under $40 per pair.

Now I see the deer before I hit them.
