Ok i got a xfire about 3 months ago and it was running fine until a couple of weeks ago the coolant light kept coming on and off. Now its completely on. I got my friend who knows very much about cars and he said it could be that the thermostat is bad. But very little smoke came out of the connection on top of the radiator and the hose connects. Anyone have any advice or has had the same issue?

Hows the temperature gauge reading? Watching that would be my main concern and if it's in a normal range and the reserve tank is "full" then it's probably just a bad fluid level sensor.. and a thorough flushing and refill might be whats needed as mentioned.
