I think that many manufacturers work on the premise that most people do not keep their car as long as the warranty for the battery, the warranty is not transferable and many just lose the warranty papers anyway.
And thus the Autozone "lifetime warranty".. they just don't know me.. LOL. Already replaced brake pads twice on the Miata on thier dime.
