Tried that. I despite having a working remote for my spare key, I was unable to buy a spare blade to have cut. As far as sourcing a spare from a Merc dealer was concerned, as soon as I gave the registration for the car and it was found that it was for a Chrysler, they wouldn't allow me to order one.
I had to take the V5 Document, Driving Licence or Passport as phot proof and a utility bill befor I could oder one from a Chrysler dealer. All in the name of security, I guess.
