I had to take the V5 Document, Driving Licence or Passport as phot proof and a utility bill befor I could oder one from a Chrysler dealer. All in the name of security, I guess.
Out of curiousity I just searched for new Crossfire keys and several locksmiths pop up saying they can do one on the roadside for you - are they telling porkies? Bet they'd be cheap too

Autotrader are not obliged to sell your car. They are traditionally considered the go-to people for buying and selling second hand cars and will no doubt have a very high throughput of visitors.
The brutal truth is that back in October last year I paid the same amount you are asking for a newer roadster with more than 20k fewer miles under the belt from a large, independent luxury car dealer in the home counties. This included a comprehensive warranty which they're still honouring despite a nasty electrical nightmare which has cost them ££££ so far, including indefinitely lending me a Jaguar courtesy car.
The sorry truth is that the Crossfire sold poorly when new and seems to continue to do so - people don't even think to search for it instead opting for a dowdy first generation SLK. People are fools, but that isn't Autotrader's fault.
It's a shame you can't hang on for a couple of months longer when people are much more likely to bite a beautiful roadster on a whim...

As I said I'm not in a panic just need more seats! I would say that the prices seem to have risen considerably over the last 6 months - I've been watching as I was considering changing, but I guess you can't tell how many actually get sold. It was the phishing emails that really jarred me off, and the cost. Perhaps the sun will do the job
at least I get to drive around with the roof down - bit nippy at 9c last night though on the way home.
