The 63 while nicely shaped are a bit plain to me though,(good and bad) maybe taking it a step further and getting em done up in a darker gunmetal finish would add a bit more toughness to the look, hard to find a good balance in the shine/shade of color to not just look like they are dusty though. Have also been waiting for someone to color match all the silver trim to the rim color (gunmetal silver/bronze) If you want to go all out :P
I think John (Boiler) is leading the charge on the total stealth look on the Graphite. And it's a winner.
Personally, I enjoy the "pop" that the silver trim provides... reminds me of the Spyker
steam-punk design for some reason (loosely, don't flame me).
The Gunmetal finish on the C63 wheels will greatly stretch the time between required detailings... majority of the time my car is clean but the bright wheels appear filthy from the brake dust.
I will be running C32 brakes with Zimmermann rotors, with the calipers finished in a bright metallic silver. I've got some nice "branding" up my sleeve as well for the calipers. Should be a neat tie-in with my other custom emblems. Speaking ofe custom emblems, the ///AMG on the C63 wheels will bring the whole "Affalterbach" equation together in a subtle fashion, since the gunmetal finish conceals the logo until you're right up on it.
If you are searching for some lightweight, inexpensive wheels, check out TSW's Rotary-Forged line... the Interlagos and Nurburgring are two awesome designs that weigh basically the same as the Forgestars, with MUCH better finish quality.
Also, certain König wheels are available in Mercedes-Benz fitment... worth a look but it's more of a 'tuner' vibe.
